Software Development Engineer in Test (SaaS)

The ideal candidate will be super passionate about test automation and producing high quality enterprise software for the on-demand world. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to work closely with talented, creative developers and testers. Your programming skills are above average even for a developer and your passion for software quality is something that sets you apart from the pack.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and champion the test automation for stories taken on for your team each sprint.
  • Drive engineering wide efforts to stay current for test automation frameworks, processes and practices.
  • Design, develop and maintain software that pushes the limits of components, business applications and other content based upon requirements from PM
  • Create and update test function libraries, test applications, test automation scripts and data files necessary to improve and expand our continuous integration system.
  • Drive review and approval of test automation plans each sprint for your team.
  • Work closely with your team to maximize overall testing impact and effectiveness
  • Assist in system configuration and support application deployment
  • Investigate, test, and implement 3rd party testing libraries and packages
  • Assist in training of other testers on automation standards and processes.

Required skills/experience:

Technical -

  • Recent experience working with web application technologies and products
  • Recent experience working with a framework for UI test automation, such as selenium. (The tool is less important than understanding the complexities of UI test automation)
  • Recent experience working with web services, preferably RESTful.
  • Can code in C# or javascript/jQuery when needed.

  • Knows what a scrum team is and how scrum is executed.
  • Understands agile very well and practices things like:
  • Test Driven Development(TDD)
  • Pair programming
  • Continuous Integration (Build/test systems)
