Senior Software Development Engineer (Java)

Primary Responsibilities:
As a highly skilled Java developer with deep understanding of and experience with networking concepts / protocols, particularly HTTP/S, as well as network security authentication and authorization you will work on a legacy access product built on java client architecture. In this role you will work with a team of highly talented seasoned developers and Testers. The environment is collaborative and very team oriented with other Devs and Testers to allow definition and implementation of unit, integration and acceptance tests coincident with design and implementation of product code.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a Java developer
- A deep understanding of networking concepts protocols (HTTP/S)
- Strong and proven design, coding, debugging, and problem solving skills
- Strong OOP skills, Very proficient in Java
- Experience with VPNs or web proxies is a plus
- BS/MS in computer science preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work well with others in challenging situations
- Passion for hard problems and a track record of delivering good results
- Ability to quickly understand complex systems
- Highly passionate and self-motivated to drive improvements in product quality and engineering systems
