Quardev Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Celebrating Our Differences
At the heart of Quardev is a mission to help people achieve their full potential – as part of their team and beyond. This means we strive to lead with the belief that enabling our team members to bring their true self to the workplace and to engage in an atmosphere of inclusion, ensures their ability to develop that potential.
Drawing on our uniqueness – from our background and life experiences to how we perceive, process, and think – allows us to create a work-life experience that supports the individual, continual growth, and includes everyone.
We do this through Hiring, Recruiting, and Business Development Team education and training, utilizing Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) technologies, continually monitoring progress and refining Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) goals to push the envelope further – and, most important, listening and reflecting on where we are, where we want to be, and bridging a diversity, inclusion, and equity mindset with the daily practices that will bring us there.
Education and Training
Education and training begins with onboarding and continues through ongoing employment. We constantly work to sharpen the skills of our team. From growing in various technologies to courses on workplace ethics, diversity, inclusion, and implicit bias training we constantly strive to improve as individuals and as an organization.

Quardev Recruiting
Sharing diverse candidates in the hiring pipeline and working with hiring managers to ensure interview slates are diverse, encouraging hiring managers to reflect on their own biases, and spending time to train managers about the benefits of a diverse team leads to equitable hiring outcomes. Training our Recruiting Team on best practices to achieve this goal, and continually educating our Recruiters about Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity throughout the sourcing, interviewing and hiring process is central to our mission.
We take steps to level the selection process playing field through open communication with clients and hiring managers to look internally as opposed to external influences impacting talent pool diversity.
Helping to uncover where biases might exist and are serving as barriers to diverse hires and initiating conversations designed to remove them.
We keep our attention on building diverse candidate pools. Sourcing for diversity by writing job descriptions that encourage qualified candidates apply regardless of their gender, ethnicity, or background. And engaging with people from user groups such as Women Who Code, Black Girls Who Code, The American Indian Science and Engineering Society, The Alliance for Access to Computing Careers, ACM Committee on Women in Computing, Center for Minorities and People with Disabilities in IT, and related organizations – just to name a few. When our Recruiting Team presents a diverse candidate pool, then the best candidate for the role should be selected. However, ensuring the pipeline is as diverse as possible is paramount.
Additionally, we foster Recruiter Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion mindset through:
- Continual Training to improve DE&I understanding and awareness
- Adhering to a Clear Code of Ethics
- Partnering with organizations that share our commitment to serve under-represented and historically minority populations
- Utilizing Diversity and Inclusion Technology throughout the sourcing, recruiting, representation, and interview process
Quardev Business Development
Encouraging our clients, partners, and hiring managers to be mindful of diversity, equity, and inclusion is important to us. We start by taking the time to share the benefits of building diverse teams and explaining our own code of ethics that leads to equitable hiring. When working with partners and clients, we look at who is included in the decision-making process and make recommendations to make sure representation is reflective of diversity goals.
Additionally, we foster Business Development commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through:
- Business Development and Leadership Team Training to improve DE&I understanding and awareness
- Adhering to a Clear Business Development Code of Ethics
- Encouraging Client and Partner participation in shared Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Goals
- Providing a clear path of mediation should Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity concerns arise
Utilizing Diversity and Inclusion Technology
We consider solutions like Textio, a technology that decreases bias in the job descriptions and self- reflection assessments and training technology like the IDI Global Assessment, which focuses on cultural competence and the ability to identify and recognize cultural differences and how to gain the tools to bridge those differences.
Monitoring Progress and Refining Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Goals
While Diversity and Inclusion is not about meeting a number, it is about creating an atmosphere that welcomes all people from all backgrounds. With this in mind, Quardev seeks to focus on equity as much as fairness.
As an organization, we think about equity as one of our core values. We are not only interested in whether or not our actions and processes are fair, we also want to make sure that they encourage equity.
We focus on being inquisitive, challenging ourselves, and pushing the envelope further. Our people want to know what good Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) progress looks like and what we can do to be better. We incorporate targets to that end.
When it comes to equity, we spend a lot of time looking at the data and asking why. Keeping an internal pressure helps ensure we are doing the right thing. Using targets helps us monitor progress, refine our DE&I goals, and provides the level of accountability we seek from one another.
Listen and Reflect
At Quardev, we recognize that celebrating our differences and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where people feel encouraged and safe to be who they are is not possible without a foundation of open communication. We are committed to active listening and allowing time to reflect on the opinions, ideas, and suggestions shared. In all things DE&I related and beyond. Listening and reflecting lies at the heart of our ability to realize our mission. – “We are only as good as we are to one another.” This fundamental truth isn’t said out loud very often here at Quardev, it is always remembered. We recognize Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion aren’t short-term projects. They are continual processes of improvement and self-reflection.
